Pi Sigma Alpha
Eta Kappa is Hope’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honors society.
Eta Kappa was chartered in 1975 to:
- Promote worthwhile curricular and extracurricular activities related to political science
- Stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in political science
- Stimulate active interest in serving as productive citizens in a working representative democracy
- Support the activities of the Eta Kappa Chapter on campus
Qualifications for Membership
To qualify for membership, you must have:
- Political science GPA of at least 3.2
- Overall GPA ranking in the top third of your class
- At least 10 credits in political science
- Completed at least one 295- or 300-level course in political science
The application process for Pi Sigma Alpha begins in the fall, when eligible students are notified. Members pay a $40 lifetime membership fee to the national office.
