The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides course tutoring and
a variety of group study sessions. All ASC programs and services
are free of charge.
COURSE TUTORING
The ASC provides individual or small group peer tutoring in
most 100- and 200-level courses, as well as select 300- and
400-level courses, on either a long-term or short-term
basis. Click here for a general list of courses tutored this
semester.
To request a tutor, a student should complete an Application
for Tutoring Assistance and return it to the ASC. Students should
allow a minimum of two business days for their application to
be processed. Once a tutor is assigned, the
tutor and student meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
to:
Examine Student Learning Strategies
Review Information from Class
Discuss Content of Reading Assignments
Work Through Examples of Homework Problems
Tutors are generally upper-class students with outstanding
academic records and faculty recommendations. They are trained
in tutoring techniques and work with continuous supervision by
the professional staff.

Drop-in group study and assistance is available for the courses
