The locksmith is located at 178 E 11th Street. Office hours are 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The locksmith keeps computer records of all keys that are distributed and services the following types of locks: Desk Drawer, File Cabinet, Mail Box, Security Box, Key Controlled or Touch Code Locks in Residence Halls, Apartments or Cottages, Panic Bar Exit, Card Access, Alarms, and Safe Locks. If you have lock problem, know of a lock problem, or have a key request, a form is available on this page. Please fill out the form with as much information as possible. If a lock problem occurs after office hours, submit a Locksmith Work Order. If it is an emergency, contact Campus Safety at x7770.

Access Control Hope College has three types of access control.

1. Keys
2. Access cards
3. Push-button or touch code locks

Tips to remember

1. Do not leave your keys or card unattended.
2. Do not lend your keys or card to anyone.
3. Do not write your pin number on your access card.
4. Do not use your card for other purposes such as an ice scraper or pry bar.
5. Do not give out your touch code number(s).
6. Make sure no one is watching when you enter your touch code.
7. Do not prop doors open.
8. Lock your door when you are not in your room or when sleeping.
