Ways to Help

CASA Tutors get the satisfaction of knowing they’re making a big difference in young people’s lives – at the same time they’re getting valuable teaching experience and preparation for their careers. It’s a wonderful win/win deal, and all of the excellent tutors who take advantage of this opportunity are at the very heart of CASA’s success.

Guidelines & Requirements:

Most CASA tutors are Hope College students and we welcome tutors from the community.
Tutors meet twice weekly with one CASA student on the Hope College campus to help with homework, develop academic skills and build supportive relationship
Tutors must be available on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the entire semester. Tutors are expected to miss sessions only for illness or other unavoidable, unforeseen reasons.
