Servicers for Federal Direct Loans

The US Department of Education has contracted with servicing companies to handle your Federal Direct Loans. The designated servicing company will send you emails and letters containing contact information, how to set up on-line access, and important information about your loans.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW WHICH COMPANY IS SERVICING YOUR LOAN. This information is availalbe through the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) once your loan has disbursed. To access the NSDLS data, you need your social security number and your Federal PIN (used to complete the FAFSA).

Keep all communications from your loan servicer and be sure to update your address and contact information if it changes while you are enrolled and afterward.
