Community Dispute Resolution Program
The
Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP), is
a project of the Michigan Supreme Court Administrative
Office. It aims to settle disputes through mediation instead
of the traditional confrontational approach in court rooms.
Unlike litigation, meditation proposes "win-win" solutions.
CDRP mediators are trained volunteers who have completed an
extensive 40 hour training program and a supervised internship.
As
part of the program, there is a Center
for Dispute Resolution in Holland which serves both Ottawa
and Allegan counties.
