Ottawa County Health Department (OCHD) provides county health data including links to the 2004 Ottawa County Behavioral Risk Factor Survey executive sumary and data tables.

The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) provides an Internet site with reported updates and data links for state-wide and local data. MDCH collects of information on a range of health related issues to monitor the general health and well-being of Michigan's citizens. The information is used to identify emerging health issues and trends and are provided at the state, county and community level.

For the more advanced user, the U.S Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control have collaborated on a sopisticated data access system called DataFerret. DataFerret is a unique data mining and extraction tool that allows you to select from multiple sources and develop and customize tables. It also includes a customized mapping program. Although currently variables across time periods and below state level geography are limited, DateFerret demonstrates the future of data sharing across agencies and from federal to more local levels.
