The United States Department of Commerce provides a "user
friendly" method of Internet access to census
data through American FactFinder. Among the many other ways in
which data can be described with American FactFinder, demographic profies
are available at the national, state and municipal levels. The
profile tables (DP-1) provide a community "snapshot" of demographic
charactistics. To view DP-1 tables, select a municipality listed
on the table or select a geographic area on the map to open a
pdf file.
ePondunk is a website that provides in-depth information about 25,000 different counties in the United States. The website provides census data along with "geocoded information about thousands of parks, museums, historic sites, colleges, schools and other places across America."
