Holland's Principal Shopping District recognized the need to optimize their advertising strategy for increased cost efficiency. The Frost Research Center devised an eleven month survey in which 6,970 downtown shoppers/visitors answered media and shopping pattern-related questions. They provided insight on advertising, their main reason for shopping downtown and the frequency with which they visited. The results of the demographic profile allowed the Principal Shopping District to identify the most effective media as well as what modifications would increase consumer visits downtown.
