Frost Research Center Past Projects

The Frost Research Center has served clients with various research needs. In all instances we use use tested methodologies and quality control measures to provide the highest quality product possible. In addition to reports we also present material to various audiences. We take pride in our work and our clients have the confidence to use our results for important decsions and new directions.

We respect our clients' proprietary rights to research results, and keep them confidential. In some cases however, results of services we provided have been published or posted to public web sites. Some examples are listed below:

The book Street Saints featured a Frost Center report written by Scott VanderStoep and Laurie Van Ark about Kids Hope USA, a national mentoring program that matches underachieving and at-risk elementary school students with volunteer mentors from local churches.

Airport Land Usage Survey
The Park Township Board contracted with the Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research to conduct a survey of Park Township residents to determine their views about the future of the Park Township Airport land. The survey included questions about continuing to use the land as an airport, finding other uses for the land, funding issues, and demographic characteristics of the respondents...

Church Herald Readership Survey

RCA Worship Survey
The Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research in conjunction with the Reformed Church in America conducted a worship survey of RCA congregations in spring 2004. Survey topics included worship times and days, attendance, the length of services and sermons, church music, characteristics of the worship service, baptism, children in worship, worship materials, and the observance of special liturgical seasons and days...

Ozone Action! Days
The Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research contracted with the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council on behalf of the West Michigan Clean Air Coalition to conduct a telephone survey in late August, early September, 2006 of Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa county residents to assess awareness of Ozone Action! Good Samaritan Ministries' Faith-Based Mentoring Programs
Good Samaritan Ministries contracted with the Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research to conduct a continuing evaluation of its mentoring programs. This evaluation was designed to track cases at various intervals following the time at which cases exit a GSM program.The goal has been to evaluate case functioning at the time of discharge, as well as at three-, six- and 12-month periods following discharge to determine the extent to which the mentoring programs have long-term impact on case functioning. United Way Community Assessment
The Frost Research Center at Hope College reported on 2000 household surveys, 1600 youth surveys, and surveys from over 500 key informants for the first-ever Ottawa County community needs assessment for the Greater Ottawa County United Way and Volunteer Center.
