For Students
The Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research is committed to supporting faculty-student research at Hope College. In addition to supplying funding and technical expertise to faculty-student projects, the center assists individual students in the following ways:
- The center offers assistance planning and executing survey research projects connected to coursework or student organizations.
- Work opportunities are available over the summer and during the academic year, conducting telephone and in-person interviews.
- When there is interest, the center offers a Community Research Practicum course (SSR-495-01) where students participate in projects contracted by the Frost Center. Tasks range from survey development and implementation to data analysis, table construction and final report preparation.
