Attention Students!

We need your help! This has been and continues to be a very busy year for us at the Health Center. Appointments fill up very quickly and we often have to make students wait until the next day to be seen. Problems arise when we have students who don't show up for their appointments, or who show up late. This means that we turn away patients who could have been seen and then no one shows up, or the late arriving student throws off the whole rest of the schedule.
Please be courteous to your fellow students by arriving on time and also by cancelling appointments that are no longer needed. Thanks!

Studying Abroad?

If you are planning to study abroad there may be some advance medical steps that you need to take care of. Check here to see what you need to do in order for the Health Center to assist you in your planning.

Illness Prevention Alert!

Let's do all that we can to make Hope's campus as germ free as possible.

What can you do to protect yourself from communicable diseases?

• Wash your hands thoroughly before eating, touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
• Cough into the “crook of your arm” to decrease the spread of viruses with your cough.
• Use disposable tissues with sneezing – and dispose of them properly.
• Keep your immune system healthy! Get adequate sleep, water and a variety of healthy foods to help your body develop a strong defense.

Hand washing – PROPER Hand washing – is the Number 1 way to prevent the spread of a viral illness.

Proper Hand washing means:
• Using Soap & Water
• Work up a lather and cover all surfaces of your hands, fingers, finger webs, under the nails and even up to your wrists.
• Continue to lather-up for 30 seconds.
• Rinse under running water.
• Turn off the faucet with a paper towel or use your elbow if a paper towel is not available.

For further information check here.

Let's all do our part!
