Admissions Representative

Hope College invites immediate applications for this full time, 12 month position. Hope College is a Christian, co-educational, undergraduate, residential, multicultural, liberal arts college of 3,200 students, affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, located in Holland, MI.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Representing Hope College to a variety of internal and external constituencies
  • Developing and implementing recruitment and travel strategies
  • Interviewing prospects/applicants and working with their families in the college selection process
  • Using a variety of media to contact prospects including phone, email and personal notes
  • Leading or assisting in office projects and programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Genuine commitment to the mission of Hope College and desire to share it with others
  • Commitment to the Christian faith
  • Enthusiasm for working with and recruiting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience and acumen with computer applications
  • Ability to plan, organize, and carry out assignments without close supervision
  • Eagerness to work in a sales-oriented environment
  • Interest in helping high school students find the right college
  • Eagerness to work hard and occasionally work long hours
  • Values being a team player
