TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS Hope College invites immediate applications for temporary, part-time, on-call custodians with the Physical Plant. Hope College is a Christian, co-educational, undergraduate, residential, multicultural, liberal arts college of 3,200 students, affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, located in Holland, MI. Minimum qualifications: High school graduate with 6 months experience in trade preferred. Must pass a background check and physical examination and possess no physical limitations that would inhibit work performance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: This is routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings. This position requires EARLY MORNING hours, requiring flexible working hours to be adjusted by the supervisor to meet seasonal and special college requirements. It could involve Saturday and Sunday weekend work. Typical routine duties include but are not restricted to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and simple operation of basic mechanical equipment.
