to Hope College!

We are so excited that you will be joining us and becoming a part of the international community at Hope College! We hope the following information is helpful to you as you prepare for your time at Hope College.

Important Forms and Resources

Please become familiar with this important information which will help you prepare for your arrival to Hope College and submit the necessary forms as soon as possible.

Orientation Details

Incoming international students are required to participate in the International Student Orientation. To see additional information about the international student orientation, please visit: International & TCK Orientation .

Mailing Address

Your family and friends will want to send you letters soon after you arrive. They should send mail to you at the Fried International Center. The mailing address is:

Although this address may seem a bit long, it will ensure prompt, accurate delivery of letters and packages, whether sent by regular post (U.S. Postal Service here) or private delivery (e.g. UPS, DHL, and Federal Express). Use this address throughout your stay at Hope College instead of your housing assignment. Your room address will change and there is no mail delivery to student housing during school holidays.

IMPORTANT: If you wish to send packages ahead, you may send them addressed to yourself at this address.

Please note that many of these items can be purchased once you arrive in Holland, Michigan. The International Education Office will organize shopping trips to local stores and shoping centers.

Consider bringing cultural items with you such as traditional clothing, music, recipes, photos and postcards for the many opportunities you will have to share with others where you are from.
