Silent Praise is a student-run organization that seeks to praise God through American Sign Language (ASL) and worship music. Members do not need to have any prior knowledge and experience with ASL or the Deaf culture. During our weekly practices, each new song is taught one sign at a time. In the past we have done such songs as, "God of Wonders," "I Can Only Imagine," and "Show Me Your Glory. Since 1996, when Silent Praise was started, the group has grown from five members to upwards of twenty-five. Much of our energy is spent going to local churches in groups of three to five as special music and participating in our chapel services. A couple times a year we also prepare special pieces for events, such as the Gospel Choir's Spring Concert. The expressiveness of ASL provides a dramatic and moving worship experience for both participant and spectator.

Sacred Dance is a student organization dedicated to leading worship through dance and fellowship among dancers. The ensemble is open to all students regardless of dance experience. We meet on Saturday mornings to share in worship, Bible Study, and rehearsal. Sacred Dance performs in chapel, and Holland area churches, as well as other locations.

Mission Outreach - We want to encourage students to take an active role in their faith by stepping out of their familiar lives and go to those who are poor, lonely, ill, sick...to be a reflection of Jesus to others in need of His love. In doing so not only will the students be giving of themselves sacrifically and obediently, they will also be in a position of humble learning and receiving from those of differing cultures and lifestyles. Our hope is that students will gain a larger worldview as well as a greater understanding of how vast and awesome God truly is.

The Technical Team are the unsung heros of the chapel ministry. They are the crazy men and women who get up at the crack of dawn to set up the technical gear required for the band to lead worship. They are also the ones who stay after everyone has gone, making sure every last microphone is put away and the lights are out. If you have a serious servants heart and a techy nature, there may be a place for you on the tech team!

Sound, lighting, video, recording, mixing, producing... these are all great tools of the trade that can be useful in making people famous. Our plan in Hope Campus Ministries is to leverage this technology in such an artistic way that it brings unshared glory to God. The One who paints sunsets inspires awesome creativity through the media. When used in worship, the Media Team helps make the intangible becomes tangible, and we have a window into heaven.
