Faculty members have published numerous journal articles, research reports, textbooks, and multimedia instructional materials.
Students collaborate with faculty members on a broad range of research topics. Recent research topics include stereotypes and prejudice; forgiveness, the psychophysiology of emotion; language acquisition in children; and children's perceptions of God.
Hope has an outstanding record for undergraduate research, having won one or more highly competitive research awards from the International Honor Society in Psychology in 11 of the last 12 years.
Department facilities include psychoacoustic, physiological and social cognitive laboratories.
