Transfer Students

Count on our help to ease your transition, whether it's understanding financial aid or how your credits will transfer.

Hope’s smaller campus and friendly environment helps transfer students feel at ease soon after their arrival. Many take on leadership roles and become very active in campus life during their time here.  Be sure to schedule a campus visit, too.

Approximately 60-70 students transfer to Hope each fall. To be considered for admission, you must submit these items:

  1. Completed Common Application (online or paper version)
  2. Application fee ($35 online, $50 paper)
  3. High school transcript
  4. College transcript (all previous colleges)
  5. ACT or SAT result

If you have questions about your application or the admissions process, or if you are having trouble accessing your account, please contact the Admissions Office.

Applications are submitted to the Admissions Committee for review as soon as all information has arrived. The Admissions Committee may withhold a decision for further information; you will be notified of such a need and asked to submit the additional information.

For questions regarding transfer credit and transcript evaluations, please contact Liz Steenwyk, Assistant Registrar & Transfer Student Advisor. You may also use our Transfer Equivalency System to check for courses that have been pre-approved to transfer to Hope.
