Admissions Representatives: Who are these people?

As you start to consider different colleges, you'll notice that each employs admissions representatives (or counselors) to aid in the whole process of getting you from high school to college. These people have all kinds of jobs; from visiting your high school or showing up at your local college night, to reading your application or awarding your scholarship, and simply answering your emails and phone calls.

At Hope our admissions representatives work with students based on the geographic area in which they live. Want to know which Hope representative will be working with you in the coming year? You can search for them here.

Get to know this person! They have all the information you need to make plans for life after high school, and they'll be happy to answer your email, phone call, or even instant message!

We all look forward to talking with you soon!

Hope Student Wins Nursing Scholarship with Essay

Angela Sweers, a Hope College sophomore and nursing major from Williamston, has won one of only 10 scholarships nationwide in the 2008 "A Nurse I Am Scholarship Program" sponsored by Cherokee Uniforms.

Selection is based on an essay written in response to the inspirational nurses film "A Nurse I Am." Entrants are asked to explain how viewing the film changed or enhanced their perception of nursing as a career and to use one of the nurses in the film as a role model in explaining why someone should purse nursing as a career. Scholarship winners each receive $2,000. (continue)
