Fun or Interesting Fact
When I married my husband and changed my last name to "Schulte" I became the second "Kathryn Schulte" because he has a cousin with the exact same name....oh, and she is the same age as me too. She happens to be an amazing women, so I feel really lucky she was willing to share her name w/ me. :)

Favorite College Memory
One of my favorite memories from Hope was also the my first memory of knowing I wanted to work in Admissions for Hope after college. As a student I was a YoungLife leader (where college students mentor local high schoolers).

My first 3 years I got to know a group of fabulous high school girls. My senior year at Hope happened to be their freshmen year at college, and some of the girls decided to come to Hope.

I still remember the first day of classes when I met up with one of them for coffee: There was nothing better than having this wonderful woman, whom I had grown to care about so much over the last few years, get to experience Hope just as I had. It was so fun to share that with her, and it helped me to see I wanted to share Hope with others as well.

Why I love Hope
Excellence and Integration is why I love Hope. Hope has some of the best people, academic programs, social programming, and vibrant spiritual life I've ever encountered. And at Hope, all of these fabulous aspects are integrated so that students grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually as complete people ready so serve and lead their local and global world.

Favorite Artist/ Album
I love Over the Rhine, and their "Snow Angels" Album is to die for. Listen to #3, "White Horse" :)

Favorite TV Show/ Movie
"Lars and the Real Girl" is by far my favorite movie right now. It shows such a great example of the struggle of real life and the beauty of community when people come together.

Best thing about Holland, MI
The beach and the restaurants can't be beat! Life can feel very much like a vacation on those days when I get to experience both the great food and beaches of Holland. :)
