Van Vleck Hall

Van Vleck Hall is Hope's oldest facility, constructed in 1857. It was restored in 1980 and now serves as a women's residence. Designated an official State of Michigan historic site, the building is named for the Rev. John Van Vleck, first principal of the academy which proceeded Hope College. Van Vleck Hall has 21 rooms and can house 42 female students.
