The Hope College Meritorious Service Award is presented in recognition of contributions to the college through outstanding personable service and long-term involvement with the college.

Hope College Meritorious Service Award recipient The Alumni Association selects recipients for this award from nominations who meet the following criteria:

Contributions made to the college and its alumni
Active, long-term involvement with the college
The recipient need not have attended Hope
Nominees for this award are eligible to be nominated for other awards
Current members of the Alumni Board and the Hope College Board of Trustees are not eligible for this award
