Greg Stafford became head coach of the Hope College women's golf team in 2009.

After finishing third in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings in both 2009 and 2010, the Flying Dutch elevated their play to finish second in the 2011 race. The Flying Dutch have been consistently ranked nationally among NCAA Division III teams.

Stafford, who served as a volunteer assistant coach of the Flying Dutch in 2007 and 2008. He has had extensive coaching experience in several sports at Godwin Heights (Mich.) High School over four decades, including both the girl's and boy's varsity golf teams. He started the girl's program at Godwin Heights qualifying the team or players to the MHSAA tournament four consecutive years.
