The Flying Dutch moved to the new Van Andel Soccer Stadium during the 2009 season.
The first women's game on October 6, 2009 was a 2-1 loss to MIAA opponent Adrian. Hope's first goal at Van Andel Stadium was scored by sophomore Danielle Petzak, assisted by freshman Lindsay Jipping, in the tenth minute of the game.
Van Andel Soccer Stadium was dedicated on October 17, 2009 and the Flying Dutch celebrated with a 3-0 victory over Trine. Scoring
goals in Hope's first win at Van Andel were Tricia Bajema, Alyson Epolito and Kara Marsman.
The Flying Dutch posted a 2-2-0 record in their inaugural season at the Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
