Part 3 Writings Prologue to the Writings The Writings is an interestingly diverse collection of literature. It departs from the narrative mode that dominates the Torah and Prophets. Instead, these books are full of poetry and proverbial wisdom. Especially the latter seems to have been the province of the scribal tradition of the ancient Middle East.
