Brandon Alleman ‘06

Majors: Mathematics and Physics (Pre-Med)

Study Abroad Location: Budapest (St. Olaf Semester in Math)

Program Duration: Fall 2004

Favorite Course: Hungarian language and Number Theory

Favorite Memory:
By far, the best experience I had was meeting people. My host mom was absolutely wonderful. She introduced me to her entire family, which helped me around the city, and even taught me how to cook authentic Hungarian dishes. Also, I became very good friends with the pastor of the church I attended and his family. These people made my trip the wonderful experience that it was. I still keep in touch with many of these people and they have influenced me to return to Hungary. Other memorable moments include traveling by train, attempting to order food in many languages and going folk dancing every Wednesday night. Basically, the entire European experience is enjoyable.
