Program Duration: Fall and Spring 2010-2011

Favorite Course: Mountain Sports, Juegos Mapuches (Mapuche games), Spanish Advanced Grammar and Usage, Famiy as a project and reality.

Favorite Memory: Firstly, helping the Girls’ Home, and believe it or not—one of my favorite memories is saying goodbye and getting to show these girls really how much they mean to me and how much the Lord and I love them. Secondly, I also liked spending time with my host family—if that means sharing a meal, watching the news, or walking down the street hand-in-hand with my host mom. Finally, beign with my friends—and not feeling like “the American”—or “la gringa”—but as a part of the group, as an important part of the community instead of just a “temporary fill.”
