click on the term listed to see the booklist for
that semester. In general the lists will be posted two or three
weeks
before the term starts. For Spring Semester it may be available
less than a week before classes start due to the short
prepartation time between semesters and the campus shutdown.

FAQ
1. Why doesn't my course appear on the booklist?
2. What happens if my class is cancelled or I drop a class and
already bought the book?
3. What does "optional" mean?
4. What is an ISBN?
5. Why do some of the ISBNs provided not show up when I search
them online?
6. What does n/a mean?
1. Why doesn't my course appear
on the booklist?
If a course is not included on the booklist, the professor has a history
of not ordering a textbook for the class. If we have received confirmation
that no book will be required, that will be noted on the booklist. If
an order for a course is expected but not yet received, that also will
be noted on the list.
2. What happens if my class is cancelled
or I drop a class and already bought the book?
All books purchased from the Hope-Geneva Bookstore can be returned if
the class is cancelled or if you drop the course (requires drop/add slip).
We cannot, however, guarantee any purchases made from outside sources.
3. What does "optional" mean?
Optional generally means that the professor is not requiring a book,
but rather suggests it as a book that will be beneficial to read alongside
the required text. In some cases, the professor may want you to choose
between a number of supplementary readings. If you are in any doubt about
whether or not to buy a title, go to class first. Your professor will
certainly elucidate.
4. What is an ISBN?
ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number.
It uniquely identifies a book or book package. Please note that a package
(a textbook
sold with
an access code, study guide, CD set, or other supplementary material)
is assigned an ISBN different from that of the textbook alone.
5. Why do some of the ISBNs provided not
show up when I search them online?
In most cases, the professor has decided on a text that comes in a special
package. A package set is always given a new ISBN and these may not be
available online. It could also be a custom edition, in which case the
book has a custom ISBN and is not available elsewhere.
6. What does n/a mean?
This notation is used when a price is not currently known (the title
is yet to be received) or when a book is not available for sale in a
used version.
