Overview of Procedure

Assemble Magnet
-
Make Coil
-
Assemble Cup, Coil, & Magnet
-
Attach to Base
-
Test
Watch for KEY INSTRUCTIONS.
Step I. The Magnet
1. Locate components
2. Bottom Piece
-
Insert hex screw through washer with smallest hole.
-
Secure with hex nut.
3. Attach Magnet
-
Add magnets (two magnets together)
-
Keep screw centered
4. Add Remaining Washer
-
Flip assembly over
-
Add washer with larger hole.
-
VERY IMPORTANT Keep washer centered over the screw and centered on magnet.
5. Secure Washers with Tape
-
Use tape to keep washers in place.
-
VERY IMPORTANT Keep away from center hole.
-
Repeat on bottom.
Step II. The Coil
1. Obtain wire
2. Obtain Straw

3. Attach wire
-
Tape to end of straw.
-
Leave 6 - 12 inches free.
-
Mark 3/4 inch on end of straw.

4. Complete Winding
-
Wind all wire onto straw
-
Do not crush straw
-
Leave 6-12 inches of wire at end
-
Secure wire with tape
MAKE ONE COMPLETE WRAP OF TAPE AROUND COIL

5. Prepare end of wire
-
Locate sandpaper in kit.
-
Sand off insulation on last 1 inch.

Careful wire is fragile.

6. Assemble Cup, Coil, & Magnet

NOTE: FOR REMIANING STEPS ORDER IS IMPORTANT
-
Look ahead to avoid having to redo steps.

Proceed with assembly.
Step III. Cup, Coil, &
Magnet
1. Locate: cup, base, double-sided tape attached to bag.
2. HOLE IN CUP FACES END OF BASE.
3. Peal and stick
4. Install Magnet and Coil

HOLE FACES UP.
-
Install straw with coil in lid.
 |
5. Install Lid and Terminal Block
 |
-
Put wires through hole.
-
Wrap ends of wire around terminal block connections. Color not important.
 |
6. Attach Terminal Block
-
Attach double-sided tape to base.
 |
-
Secure terminal block to base.
 |
Step IV. Customize!
-
Prepare the nameplate.
-
Paper tag located in bag.
 |
-
Attach on base.
-
KEEP SLACK IN WIRES.
 |
Testing
-
Bring Speaker to Stereo to test.
-
Try at home.
-
The speaker has 8-ohm impedance and is compatible with home audio receivers
and amplifiers.
