Hope College Camps

The High School Camp focuses on intensive development on technical and tactical volleyball skills. Campers will have the opportunity to practice all volleyball skills as well as focus their attention on position specific skills. All campers will receive expert coaching, a t-shirt and a fun and rewarding experience. Held at the Courthouse Athletic Center in Byron Center, MI this camp is a short drive away for top student-athletes from the Lakeshore and Grand Rapids.

Setter/Hitter Camp - @ the DeVos Fieldhouse

Grades 10-12

July 20-22, 2008

6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Cost: $80

The Setter/Hitter/Libero camp is a very intensive, position specific camp designed to take your game to the next level. The first three days of the camp, you will learn more about your position than you ever thought possible from a technical standpoint and a tactical. On day four you will put those developed skills into action through a mini-tournament.

6th & 7th Grade Camp - @ the Dow Center

July 21-22, 2008

9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $65.00

The Middle School Camp focuses on fundamental volleyball skill development. Becoming a well-rounded volleyball player with strength and consistency in every skill is achieved through expert teaching, high repetitions in drills, and playing opportunities that facilitate success. If you want learn how you can make a stronger contribution to your middle school volleyball team, this camp is the place for you!!!

8th & 9th Grade Camp - @ the DeVos Fieldhouse

July 21-22, 2008

9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $75.00

High School Team Camp

July 23-26, 2008

Attend camp with your team and train together. Great for team chemistry and team building. The Hope College Volleyball Team Camp will feature a mix of team training by Coach Schmidt, competitive play, and team building activities. Athletes and coaches are invited to stay in out residence halls and eat in the all-you-can-eat cafeteria. All team play will be videotaped and available for coaches.

Fees:

$200 per athlete in residence

$75 per commuter athlete

Coaches in residence are an additional $100. If a minimum of 10 players register from one team, one coach or one chaperone may attend with free lodging and free meals.

Fees include camp registration, one t-shirt per participant, videotape, coaching materials, and items created during team bonding functions.

Volley-Tots Camp

July 23-25, 2008

2nd - 3rd Grade: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

3rd - 4th Grade: 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Cost: $55.00
