Funding to Visit Seminaries

The CrossRoads Project has a limited amount of money specifically dedicated to helping Hope students visit seminaries, divinity schools, and other graduate programs in religion. We can help pay your travel expenses, whether by air, train, or in your own car (we can reimburse you for gas, oil, parking, and tolls, and in some cases can help out with accommodations).

If you're interested, please make an appointment with the Program Director, Dr. David Cunningham, or Associate Director, Dr. Kristen D. Johnson, by calling the CrossRoads Office at x7320 or send an e-mail to crossroads@hope.edu stating which days and times are best for you.

Be prepared to tell us something about yourself, and indicate where you'd like to visit and why. Provide some proposed dates and estimated expenses when you come to your appointment. Depending on the demand for funding during a given year, we can often cover a significant percentage of your travel expenses.

We wish you all the best in your ongoing discernment and preparation for graduate study in theology.

    2. Bring with you a written estimate of your travel expenses.
    3. Then use this link to print the specific details to follow for reimbursement.
