Career Information
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a professional society for computer scientists and other information technology workers. Their job center web site provides a wealth of information that might be useful in determining your career direction, including:
- a discussion forum where student members can ask professional members questions
- the "Day in the life" series has a series of descriptions by professionals describing what a day in the life of a particular professional is about.
- internship opportunities around the country
- job opportunities (you must be an ACM member to use this)
The Hope College Career Services office also is a good source of information on computer science careers and careers in general. Check out their web site!
