Socially Conscious Computing Presentations

Students in the Socially Conscious Computing course have spent the semester research topics of their choosing related to Socially Conscious Computing.  Each student has written a 15-20 page paper and will present the results of their research during this colloquium.

The topics to be presented include:

  • Nanotechnology, by George Khoury
  • "Green" Computing, by Cameron Calka
  • Development of robots, by Crystal Hollis
  • The One Laptop Per Child initiative, by Gary Benson
These presentations will provide an informative and thought provoking discussion of important issues in today's society.
