The Computer Science Department at Hope College with support from the Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program of the National Science Foundation, is providing an opportunity for a number of undergraduate computer science students to participate in a nine-week research program.

Dates:  May 20 - July 19, 2013

Stipend: $4,500

Housing: On-campus housing provided at no cost

Travel: Limited travel funds are available for participants

Eligibility: Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who has not received a baccalaureate degree and will be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Fall, 2013, is eligible. Women and members of minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

Projects: You will be working with research mentors at Hope College on one of several research projects.  These projects are listed below:

  1. Algoraph: The Graph Algorithms Framework with Chuck Cusack
  2. Modeling Bacterial Metabolism and Genetic Regulation with Matt DeJongh
  3. Realtime Identification of Structures with a Mobile Phone with Mike Jipping

  • March 1, 2013 for students not at Hope College
  • February 15, 2013 for students at Hope College
No transcript or letter are required from Hope students.
