Kasi, Age 9

kasi

When Kassi was born she was a seemingly normal baby. However, when she was about two weeks old, her parents noticed that something was wrong. They took her to the doctor who discovered that Kassi had pyloric stynosis. They were told she would need surgery right away to repair this. At five weeks old, Kassi underwent stomach surgery. After her surgery she went into congestive heart failure and needed two surgeries to correct these problems. She was Finally able to go home when she was five months old. Recently, Kassi has also been diagnosed with scoliosis.

Kassi loves to swim and play soccer. She has one younger sister named Aubree, 6. With their parents Ron and Jodi (who is the JV softball coach at Hope), Kassi and Aubree enjoy family nights, swimming, and camping. Kasi’s parents are very grateful to God as well as the doctors and nurses at DeVos Children’s Hospital. They said, “There is a lot of Kassi’s story that could never be written down on a page. Miracles that show God is in control.”
