Teresa DeGraaf has been an accountant in the Business Services Office since 2007. Her primary responsibilities include bank reconciliations, charitable trust accounting and journal voucher preparation and entry. Teresa also completes the annual escheat process and submits unclaimed property documentation to the State of Michigan. In addition, she provides support to the accounts payable area.

Prior to Hope College, Teresa worked for 24 years at Pfizer in a variety of positions in the Financial Services department, mainly in cost and inventory accounting.
Teresa volunteers at local non-profit, Belay Youth Ministries, and performs all of the accounting duties for the organization, including annual state and federal requirements.

Why I love Hope
Teresa loves Hope for its tight-knit Christian community, the outstanding students she is blessed to know and the opportunity to attend all of the Hope basketball games.
Outside the college
Teresa serves on the board at Parda Federal Credit Union. She also mentors female students through Campus Ministries and can be seen several times a week at JP’s and Lemonjello’s.
In her free time, Teresa is a blogger and crafter and enjoys kayaking and vacationing with her husband and grown children.
