Professional experience

Chris is not new to Van Wylen Library. While he was a student, he worked in the acquisitions department all four years. While there, he worked on a major deselection project for the library catalogue.

After graduating, he spent almost three years as a circulation assistant at Kent District Library. He checked books in and out, processed holds, collected fines, ran troubleshooting on public computers and self-checkouts while providing great customer service.

Why I love Hope

Chris appreciates Hope’s very welcoming and friendly community. He also likes the small, easily walkable campus.

Outside the college

He loves reading fantasy and science fiction, especially series that blend the two together, particularly urban fantasy. Alternate history is another of Christopher’s favorite genres.
