Andrew MeyersAssistant Director of Admissions
Andrew Meyers ’05 began working as a representative in the Admissions office in 2005, shortly after graduating from Hope. His main responsibility is to recruit fantastic students from northwestern Lower Michigan and the Thumb, his home state of New York and the rest of New England, many of the Southeastern states and the Virgin Islands. So far he hasn’t been able to justify a recruiting trip to Saint Martin, but he's working on it.
- B.Mus., vocal music education, Hope College, 2005
Web, email and digital marketing are Andrew’s other hats at Hope, and he’s enjoyed serving on the campus Web Team for a number of years. Andrew also prepares and sends many Admissions email campaigns to prospective students along with developing and maintaining the Admissions website. Andrew also co-manages a terrific student blogging team.
Awards and Recognition
Andrew has presented at annual Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Strategic Enrollment Management, and eduWeb Digital Summit conferences, and is currently serving on the eduWeb conference planning team.
Why I Love Hope
Andrew doesn’t know where to start! Hope is a special place, and he’s thought so ever since stepping foot on campus during senior year of high school. People care about each other here, and — when combined with academics, social life and campus ministries — it makes for one unique college option. Oh, and Hope couldn’t have a better home than Holland, Michigan. People come to this town on vacation! Not a bad place to live.
Outside the College
Andrew is husband to Julie ’05 and dad to Aiden ’35 and Nolan ’37 (not that they’re planning ahead), and these are his most important roles. He also enjoys running, and Holland is a wonderful town for it. Beyond those activities, you can find Andrew volunteering at Engedi Church, geeking out over the latest from Apple, following the PGA Tour and attempting to play songs by Billy Joel.
