Scott TravisExecutive Director of Alumni Engagement
Scott Travis has been working with alumni and families at Hope since 2006. Today, he is responsible for leading the Alumni and Family Engagement, Hope Fund and Annual Giving, Development Services and Communication teams within the division of Development and Alumni Engagement.
These teams work to create programs and build relationships that help alumni and families remain a vital part of our success as a college. Scott is also the liaison between the college and the Alumni Association Board of Directors as well as the Hope Academy of Senior Professionals (HASP).

Prior to working in development and alumni engagement, Scott has owned his own youth sports business, worked in media relations for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), coordinated conferences on Hope’s campus and helped organize a centralized ticket office at the college when DeVos Fieldhouse first opened in 2005. He has served as a First Year Seminar instructor and academic advisor at Hope. He also presents at higher education conferences and seminars on the topic of alumni engagement and analytics.
Why I love Hope
Since studying at Hope, Scott has been drawn to the combination of high academic standards and holistic personal and faith development found here. He believes that in a world full of complex problems, our graduates have the opportunity and responsibility to be active citizens, critical thinkers and agents of reconciliation.
Outside the college
Scott is on the leadership team at LifeQuest Church and has served on the Alumni Board
for The Philadelphia Center. He enjoys living near Lake Michigan with his wife and
three daughters and tries to read as much as he can. Favorite topics include social
psychology, organizational learning, historical fiction and anything by David McCullough.
