Aquila Theatre has won international praise for their innovative presentations of classic drama and they return to Hope College with two outstanding productions. The Iliad, Homer’s epic story of Achilles and the Trojan War is one of the greatest works in literature and was first performed as a play over 2,500 years ago. Told in the context of the Normandy invasion of World War II, the performance is an action-packed, intense evening of drama. The wide range of the company will be seen the next night when they turn to Comedy of Errors, one of Shakespeare’s most vibrant and sparkling comedies. Of course, Aquila takes the comedy to new a new location -- Shakespeare with fez-topped hats and safari adventurers? This special Valentine’s night performance will be paired with a restuarant offer as well, so make an evening of it!
