By Neil
Simon
No one
tells a story like Neil Simon. With wise-guy humor cloaking
heartfelt sensitivity and understanding, Lost In Yonkers follows
two young fellas who are plopped into the home of their tyranical
grandmother and "peculiar" Aunt Bella. It's 1942,
and Dad is off to support both family and war effort. A surprise
visit from their Uncle Louie (a real "Wiseguy")
brings all the tangled family relationships and secrets to
dramatic and illuminating culmination. 1991 Tony Awards including
Best Play, Lost in Yonkers is widely regarded as one of the
best written plays in the last 25 years.
