Over twenty Hope College faculty have already signed up for a workshop that aims to improve student paper assignments.  The CWR workshop "Effective Scaffolding for Better Student Papers" will take place on Tuesday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Maas Conference Room.  Space is still available; send an RSVP to the CWR if you'd like to attend. 

This week, the CWR sponsors workshops on the citation system often used in the humanities, usually known as "Chicago" or "Turabian." Come to the Rare Book Room on Thursday (Feb 2) at 3:30, or on Friday (Feb 3) at 2:00, and learn the basics in an hour.

The CWR is hosting a workshop on Writing the Graduate School Essay. It will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 11:00-12:00 and repeated on Wednesday, November 9 at 3:30-4:30. If you'd like to participate, send an e-mail to cwr@hope.edu and let us know which day you plan to attend.
