Follow-Up Assignment Tips

• We have found that students better retain what they learn during the library session if the session is tied to a research assignment

• Plan on using OneFile PowerSearch database when creating research assignments

• Do the assignment yourself to make sure that the assignment and search terms finds the relevant results and makes sense to the students

• You may wish to contact a reference librarian for additional tips on how to create an appropriate assignment for your students
