Circulation Services - Faculty and Staff

Library card:

  • Present your library card for library service
  • Your ID card may be used at the Hope College libraries and Beardslee Library of Western Theological Seminary
  • Emeritus faculty apply for fee-exempt borrower cards

Item limit:

  • Faculty and library staff may borrow up to 100 items at a time
  • Staff may borrow up to 50 items at a time

Loan periods

To RENEW items yourself online:

  1. In the navigation bar in the left column, hover over the Catalogs link, then choose the HopeCAT link
  2. In the top right hand corner of the page, select My Account
  3. Login to your account to renew materials
  4. Or for help call 395-7905
  5. Or bring the item to the circulation desk for assistance

To request a HOLD on an item that is out:

  • In HopeCAT Web, click on request title before title. Follow directions online.
  • Or ask someone at the circulation desk.

Overdue fines:

  • No overdue fines to faculty and staff
  • Replacement fee is charged for each item 3 weeks overdue (when the item is returned, the replacement fee is cancelled)
  • When an item is 3 weeks overdue, your borrowing privileges are suspended
