eBooks Come to Hope CollegeHope College Library users now have access to approximately 10,000 electronic books through netLibrary. In addition, there are more than 3,000 public domain titles. The netLibrary collection is funded by the Access Michigan project and makes eBooks available to all users in the state. netLibrary electronic books are electronic versions of printed books that can be viewed online from any computer with access to the Internet. The netLibrary collection contains books on a wide variety of subjects aimed at various audiences and levels and includes both academic and popular titles. Typically the types of books included in the collection are more informational than recreational. There are two ways to access eBooks; directly from the http://www.netlibrary.com site, or through the HopeCAT catalog. Records for approximately 8000 eBook titles have been loaded into the HopeCat catalog. They appear when you do a regular author, title, subject, or keyword search. A link in the record will take you directly to the book at the netLibrary site. Once you link to netLibrary, you have the option of browsing, checking out or downloading the book. In order to use eBooks from off-campus locations, you must first establish a netLibrary account. This is easily done from any on campus computer by accessing the netLibrary site at http://www.netlibrary.com. For more information on eBooks, visit our Ebook FAQ.
