The TechLab

The TechLab is a small computer learning lab in Van Wylen Library with eight high-end workstations (4 PCs and 4 iMacs), each equipped with a scanner and access to color printing.

A team, consisting of library staff and student tutors, is available to help you learn new software programs or to better utilize those programs you may already occasionally use.

Location and Hours

The TechLab is located on the second floor of Van Wylen Library right next to the Media Services Desk, where Van Zoeren and Van Wylen meet under the skylights.

The TechLab is OPEN when the library is open and STAFFED with Student Tutors during the following hours:

Monday	8 AM - 12 AM Close
Tuesday	8 AM - 12 AM Close
Wednesday	8 AM - 12 AM Close
Thursday	8 AM - 12 AM Close
Friday	8 AM - 6 PM Close
Saturday	12 Noon - 6 PM Close
Sunday	4 PM - 12 AM Close

Resources

Hardware

We have eight work stations (four PCs and four iMacs), each equipped with its own scanner. Currently, there are CD-ROM and DVD drives on these computers. We also have a card reader for uploading photos, as well as, floppy drives and zip drives, if needed. Color printing is available from these computers.

The iMacs are set up for video editing with a VCR, DVD Deck and TV monitor.
