Research and Special Opportunities

You'll have the opportunity to join collaborative research groups studying pure mathematics, statistics or the wide applicability of mathematics and statistics to problems in other disciplines. This research advances the fields of mathematics and statistics and complements our teaching mission, both in the continued development of faculty as teachers, scholars and active contributors to our discipline and as a means to develop students as scholars through undergraduate research opportunities.

Students can also engage in mathematics and statistics outside of the classroom through student-faculty social events, Math Club, speaker series, and statewide and national competitions.
