The department of music at Hope College
will be featuring a sampling of the college's musical groups
on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. in Dimnent
Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

Part of the college's Arts and Humanities Fair,
the concert has grown to be a popular attraction and is now
presented in the evening as well as during the day to allow
more people to attend. The event also provides a sneak peak
at the groups and individuals who will be performing
throughout the year.

Among the musical groups performing are the Jazz
Chamber Ensembles, Wind Ensemble, Chapel Choir, Orchestra,
and several individual students who will be featured on
piano, violin and voice.

The fast-paced, hour-long performance provides a
unique opportunity to have an overview of the various groups
sponsored by the department of music. It also serves as a
preview of the popular Musical Showcase held at DeVos Hall
in Grand Rapids every spring.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located on College
Avenue at 12th Street.
