The Hope College Symphonette will present its second concert of the season on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will feature work by Bach, Prokofiev,
Part and Ravel.

Faculty flutists Rebecca VanDeWalker and Julie
Sooy, and violinist Debra Craioveanu will be featured in
"The Brandenburg Concerto No. IV in G Major." The second
piece in the program, "Ma Mere l'Oye," or "Mother Goose
Suite," by Ravel, will be directed to the children in the
audience.

The evening will also include the Estonian
composer Arvo Part in a work titled "Fratres" for string
orchestra and percussion. To close the program, Huw Lewis
will join Symphonette as the narrator for Serge Prokofiev's
symphonic tale for children, "Peter and the Wolf."
