Awards for outstanding performance during their MIAA championship season have been presented members of the men's soccer team.

Senior Kevney Dugan of Holland, Mich. (Holland Christian HS) was honored as the offensive most valuable player while senior Steve Lepper of Midland, Mich. (Dow HS) was chosen the defensive most valuable player.

Senior Ed Huebner of Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS) was named the team's most inspirational member while senior Kyle Nevenzel of Holland, Mich. (Holland HS) was recognized as the most improved player.

Elected captains of the 2004 team were junior Todd Chappa of Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS), freshman Patrick McMahon of Grand Rapids, Mich. (Forest Hills Central HS), and sophomore Devin McNeil of Lansing, Mich. (DeWitt HS).

The Flying Dutchmen posted a 14-4-4 record and qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs, advancing to the second round.
